Could you help light the way for the next generation of students?
Deciding which university is the right one for you is one of the most exciting decisions you can make - but it’s also one of the biggest, and it can be a daunting prospect. Hearing from somebody who has already graduated can help to give the undergraduate students of tomorrow the boost of confidence they need to take the next step.
How you can help
To help guide our prospective students, we're asking alumni to join our online 'Ask a Graduate' programme as Ambassadors. We are looking for alumni from:
- Cultures, Languages and Area Studies
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering
- Politics and International Relations
Whether it's passing on top tips about campus life, answering questions about what your course was like or, explaining how your degree has helped your career, your advice and guidance will really help University of Nottingham offer holders to understand why it could be the right place for them! How to register
Registering as an Ambassador is really easy - it takes just 10 minutes to create an Ambassador profile and you can auto-transfer your information from LinkedIn. You must be from one of the above schools to take part, and, as it is online, you can take part from anywhere in the world.
How much time?
'Ask a Graduate' is really flexible, will likely be around 1-2 hours per month and can be done from work or home. You can choose how many students contact you and the programme closes at the end of May 2018, when students decide which of their university offers they're going to go with.
What to expect
Once you've joined 'Ask a Graduate' you will be visible to our offer holders, who can search alumni profiles and connect with you directly to ask any questions they may have. You will receive an email alert when someone has contacted you - you will need to log into the system to reply.
