Description

Autism 710

Supporting young people with autism in mainstream schools - 25 April

This event is hosted by the School of Education to celebrate International Autism Month and to raise awareness of the needs of young people on the autism spectrum.

Presented by Debra Costley and Anne Emerson, the seminar will introduce newly published research evidence from Australia that shows the value of elements of structured teaching for whole class planning and successful completion of work. They will review the research evidence and discuss how strategies could be used in mainstream schools in the UK.

This is a free event and refreshments will be available.
