Faculty of Social Sciences

Welcome to the Faculty of Social Sciences

The Faculty of Social Sciences is one of the largest and most diverse in Europe, with seven different schools with teaching and research varying across a wide range of topics, theories and methods of analysis.

Social sciences at Nottingham have a long history dating back to 1798, and since then they have grown in depth and breadth to include a wide range of subject areas and academic disciplines.

The faculty offers almost 50 undergraduate courses and more than 100 postgraduate courses, and is home to the Q-Step Programme in Quantitative Analysis and an ESRC Doctoral Training Centre and Doctoral Training Programme as part of the Midlands Graduate School Consortium.

We have three campuses - the UK, China and Malaysia - and this offers you the opportunity to study at a truly global university.
