Over 100 group exercise classes every week

Getting fit or becoming more healthy can seem like quite a struggle and not the fun activity it's supposed to be!

Being more active has enormous benefits including reducing stress, looking better, feeling more mentally alert, sleeping better and generally feeling happier.

The Department of Sport offer a range of facilities and classes that you can enjoy in a pleasant atmosphere and hopefully increase your level of fitness and general wellbeing.

You can also take advantage of gym inductions and our support services as part of your membership.

 

Fitness Classes

Your membership entitles you to free group exercise classes at our University Park and Jubilee Sports facilities.

There are variety of other classes, for members, designed to help maintain your fitness and well being. These classes include Zumba, Box Fit, Body Pump, Abs Core 'n' Flex, Yoga and Pilates.

Swimming Lessons

The University offers swimming lessons to members of sports facilities and members of the local community, throughout the year.
The 25 metre pool has a moveable floor which goes from 0.9 to 1.8 metres in depth, making it ideal for all levels of ability.

We run lessons for adults and children in a number of different formats, to suit your preferences and budget.
