British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues
One of the founders of the Inter-Varsity programme in 1919, University of Nottingham is fourth in the all-time rankings since the inception of the university leagues.
We enter more teams in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues than any institution and University of Nottingham athletes have won more than 15 league titles and trophies in the 2016/17 season.
Our coaching team includes some of of the country's top experts, with many programmes hosting full-time performance staff. Several have coached and played at international-level including Andrea Congreaves, the first British player drafted to the professional WNBA in the US and Kelly Sibley, table tennis bronze medallist from the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

The University of Nottingham offers a huge variety of sports for our students; we've got over 70 sports clubs - more than any other UK university. A select number of these sports feature as focus programmes; where we've invested significantly in international-level coaching and world-class facilities.
The University of Nottingham has invested significantly in sector-leading facilities including the new £40 million David Ross Sports Village. Student athletes can access fitness suites within each of our three campus facilities and several of our first-team playing areas are of international match standard.

University of Nottingham's comprehensive sports scholarships offer is designed to provide tailored support and financial assistance to help students reach their sporting and academic potential.
University of Nottingham is also an official Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) Delivery Site, supporting TASS athletes during their education here at the University of Nottingham.
Our franchise teams
As well as our teams competing in the BUCS leagues, we also have multiple franchise teams competing at the highest level of professional leagues within the UK. For spectators, it's an unique opportunity to watch world-class players here on the University campus.
For our top student athletes, it's an opportunity to play alongside local stars such as Rio 2016 Olympian Chris Adcock in the AJ Bell National Badminton League and World top 5 ranked player Nick Matthew in the Premier Squash League.
