By train and tram
Nottingham is right in the centre of the country and is very well connected to all other major cities by the train network.
Regular services operate between Nottingham and London St Pancras (from 1 hour 45 minutes), Birmingham (1 hour 15 mins), Leeds (2 hours), Manchester (2 hours) or Sheffield (1 hour).
For train information, tickets and timetables visit the National Rail Enquiries website.
You can hop on a tram at Nottingham Station stop which is accessible by the walkway leading from the station. Tickets must be purchased before boarding. The Toton line takes you directly to the University and visitors should disembark at the University of Nottingham stop. More information is available here.
By bus or coach
If you are travelling by Megabus or National Express, you will disembark at Broadmarsh Bus Station.
The University of Nottingham is linked by frequent local bus routes to and from the city centre by a variety of services which run every 5-10 minutes.
From inside Nottingham Broadmarsh Bus station, the Trent Barton Indigo service is available and will stop at University South entrance. Simply walk across the road and onto campus.
Alternatively Nottingham City Transport provides a service direct onto University Park campus. Exit Nottingham Broadmarsh Bus station at the pedestrian street exit and turn right onto Collin Street. Cross the road and turn right again, continuing to bus stop C7, from which the Unilink 34 service departs.
Please note: many of the local city buses accept correct change only to reduce delays, so please have coins to hand.
The University of Nottingham is easily accessible by Motorway. Leave the M1 at Junction 25 to join the A52 to Nottingham. Follow the A52 for approximately 4 miles and at the Priory Island roundabout turn right onto the A6464. Turn left at the next roundabout to enter the University's West Entrance.
Alternatively leave the M1 at Junction 26, following the A610 to turn right onto the A6514. Carry on until the roundabout which joins the A52, at which point take a third exit and then continue on A52, Derby Road. When you reach Priory Island roundabout, take the first left onto A6464. Turn left at the next roundabout to enter the University's West Entrance.
If approaching from the South via the A52 north bound and A6005, University South Entrance is restricted to left turn only. Please continue on the A6005 and follow the right fork onto the A6464 briefly, before turning right at the roundabout to enter the University's West Entrance.
